Minohsayaki, or painted hide robes, was a tradition of the Peewaalia people. Kids will learn to paint on a new texture by using acrylic paint on mini faux-hides (soft fabric). New friends welcome!
The library sits on what was the land of the Peewaalia (Peoria) people. A peewaalia artistic practice was creating minohsayaki, or painted hide robes. Kids will learn to paint on a different texture by using acrylic paint on mini “hides” (soft fabric). Fabric, paint, and stencils will be provided.
