Welcome to True Crime Club, where we discuss all things True Crime. This month, we will watch and discuss The Witness, a critically acclaimed true crime documentary about the murder of Kitty Genovese.
The name "Kitty Genovese" became synonymous with urban apathy after The New York Times printed an article stating that she was killed in a public attack that lasted more than half an hour, while 38 witnesses did nothing. Fifty years later, her brother uncovers a lie that transformed his life, condemned a city, and defined an era.
The Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library is located at the intersection of Grand and Park Avenue. It has 5 Study Rooms, 3 Meeting Rooms, an Editing Studio, and a Maker Studio.
