Welcome to True Crime Club, where we discuss all things True Crime. This month, we will watch the film Southwest of Salem detailing the wrongful conviction of four women and their fight for justice.
This award-winning 2016 documentary investigates the wrongful conviction of four Latina lesbians in San Antonio, Texas in 1998 and showcases their continued fight for innocence after 15 years in prison. Viewers are advised that this documentary features real footage of real people who have endured tragedy. The film is 90 minutes long and will be followed by a short discussion.
