Join "Chicago's Official Troubadour" Mark Dvorak for an acoustic concert. Listeners are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, toiletries, or make a cash donation to Share Food Share Love.
Registration is encouraged, walk ins welcome.
This concert is in partnership with Share Food Share Love food pantry and Music & Potlucks. Music & Potlucks gathers community members and resources at music and cultural events to support neighbors who utilize local social service agencies.
Mark Dvorak
The Chicago Tribune called him “masterful,” and the Fox Valley Folk Festival describes him as “a living archive of song and style.” In 2012 WFMT 98.7 fm Midnight Special host Rich Warren named him Chicago’s “official
troubadour.” Mark has given concerts in almost all of the United States and has made visits to Finland, Canada and Ireland. To date he has released twenty albums of traditional, Americana and original song.
Dvorak has won awards for children’s music, journalism and was honored in 2013 with the FARM Lantern Bearer Award from Folk Alliance International. In 2008 he received the Woodstock Folk Festival Lifetime Achievement Award and is the resident artist at Music & Potlucks.
The Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library is located at the intersection of Grand and Park Avenue. It has 5 Study Rooms, 3 Meeting Rooms, an Editing Studio, and a Maker Studio.
